Here is a short series I filmed with my mobile phone in Zanzibar.
It’s not a super production; I made it with simplicity and a lot of pleasure.
My Louise Carmen leather notebooks are like fine wines to me; they gain value as the years go by.
Labels, flyers, and tickets
These are all the little scraps of paper I collect throughout my travels. In Zanzibar, it was the beer bottle labels that caught my eye; in Lisbon, the packaging for canned goods and codfish croquettes :).
It’s up to you to give it a try—the only rule is to have a good time without any constraints, other than making sure you have glue and scissors in your suitcase!
Feel free to share your notebooks using #louisecarmenparis or @louisecarmenparis on Instagram and Facebook.
Which notebook do I use while traveling?
The leather notebook I use for my road trips is the Louise Carmen Roadbook.
It is made of chestnut vegetable-tanned leather.
I like it very much because its leather is fantastic.
As I travel more, it develops a unique patina.
It is very practical because it contains 3 paper notebooks that are independent of each other.
One notebook for drawing, one for keeping a logbook, and a third for noting interesting addresses.
Since each notebook is removable, I replace them when they are full.
You can use Moleskine© brand notebooks; they are the same size.

I have a passion for vegetable-tanned leather, which I have created in quite a few colors.
