Let's talk about the supplies I brought to Zanzibar to make my travel journal.
This is a short series I filmed with my mobile phone in Zanzibar.
It’s not a super production.
I filmed it with total simplicity and great pleasure.
To me, my Louise Carmen travel journals are like fine wines.
They increase in value as the years go by.
Supplies EP.2 S.1
What supplies do you use?
That is THE question I’m always asked.
So, during our trip to Zanzibar, one morning I said to myself, "come on, just go for it.
Set down your mobile phone and try to show what you take on trips to make your travel journals."
Of course, you don’t have to have everything.
I am a fan of pens, pencils, and paint, so I have quite a few.
And, since I try to take care of my supplies, I accumulate them.
That’s why I always bring my four pouches of supplies.
The first contains the "tools"
The second pouch contains a whole bunch of felt-tip pens.
In the third Louise Carmen leather pouch, there are felt-tip pens, this time colored and even glittery ones.
The last pouch is dedicated to painting.
All these supplies are available in fine arts and craft stores, stationery shops, or online.
I don’t talk about the journal in the video, but you will find all the information about my Louise Carmen Roadbook at the end of the article in the "Extra Info" section.

Bonus: Photo printers Ep.3 S.1
I have two small, very compact printers that connect to my smartphone. They are super practical! You just take your photos with your mobile phone, select the ones you want to put in your travel journal, crop them, adjust the colors, and finally, print them.
Discover them in this video. There are certainly other models, I am only talking about the two models I know here.
I recommend that you check user reviews and tests on the web before buying one and that you check the prices of photo refills.
I use these printed photos either in my travel and sketching journal, to embellish my notes page by page, or in the writing section where I recount my experiences, my encounters, and my emotions.
Printer No. 1: Instax Share SP3 – Fujifilm
Printer No. 2: Sproket – HP (usable for printing up to 25°C)

Extra info: the Roadbook
The journal I use is the Louise Carmen Roadbook in chestnut vegetable-tanned leather.
I love it because its leather is fantastic. As I travel, it takes on a unique patina. It is very practical because it contains 3 paper notebooks, independent of one another: one for sketching, one for keeping a logbook, and a third for noting good addresses. Since each notebook is removable, I can replace them.
You can use Moleskine© brand notebooks. They are the same size.
I have a passion for vegetable-tanned leather, which I’ve developed in quite a few colors.
